About Me
Nate Sage is a 20 year old producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from the small town of Rockville, VA. Currently studying Contemporary Writing & Production at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, Nate has garnered over 13 years of musical experience and 8 years of production experience.
From humble beginnings of starting piano lessons from his local church’s organist, Nate found his spark in music at the young age of 7. Throughout elementary school he would always involve himself in all things musical, such as the school plays, choir, Orff ensemble, and talent shows.
In middle school his journey as a musician would continue when he joined the artist development program at a local music school named “Passion Academy.” Here he would meet Colin Richter, Carson Elliott, Nikolas Dore, and Ethan Johnston, and would go on to form the indie-rock band “Very Good Band” as the keyboardist/backing vocalist. They started as a cover band, but as Nate was going into high school, they started writing original music, with their first single “Sometimes Sharp,” and later their first and only album “Very Good Album.”
After getting accepted and coming to Berklee College of Music, Nate has been learning jazz piano, electric bass, and honing his skills as a writer, producer, and engineer. He has since worked on numerous projects, and is the bass player in the math-rock band “Road Head From God.” He has produced, mixed, and performed on numerous projects in recent times, and continues to do so today.
